This is a libel for a collision between the schooner H. C. Richards, which was lying at anchor in the St. Clair river, about a mile below Port Huron, and the barge H. C. Davis, which, with other vessels, was in tow of the steam barge Ogemaw. The collision occurred in the evening of May 16, 1886. The Richards was bound on a voyage from Buffalo to Racine, Wisconsin, and with several other vessels had been in tow of a tug from Buffalo. - On arrival at a point in the river near the place of collision, the tug left the Richards and two other vessels belonging in the tow astern of her, and…
