Donald E. and JoAnn Street Williams sued H. Elton Thompson & Associates, P.C. (Thompson), the W. H. Peacock Construction Company (Peacock), and the Douglas County School District for damages. Their lake was damaged by silt and mud deposited by surface water run-off during and after construction of a new school, for which Thompson was the project architect and Peacock was the contractor. Thompson and the School District filed cross-claims against Peacock; the School District also filed a cross-claim against Thompson. The jury returned a verdict for Mr. and Mrs. Williams and…
