Appeal from an *819order of the Supreme Court (Lynch, J.), entered March 19, 1990 in Schenectady County, which granted defendant’s motion for summary judgment dismissing the complaint.

On the morning of October 14, 1986, following a heavy rainstorm, plaintiff Joseph T. Cincotta (hereinafter plaintiff) entered defendant’s grocery store in the Town of Glenville, Schenectady County.
