This medical malpractice action against a doctor’s insurer, based on diversity of citizenship, entangled plaintiff in a web of Louisiana prescription rules. The law prevents extrication.

I. Introduction

On or about August 5, 1960, the plaintiff, Edwin Andry, was treated at a local *144hospital by three doctors in an allegedly negligent manner. Within a year two lawsuits were filed, one in State Court and the other in Federal Court.
