Jacob Heasley and May Heasley, his wife, petitioned the Orphans’ Court of Allegheny County for leave to adopt Donald Eugene Thompson, a minor child; their prayer was refused and this appeal followed.

The petitioners, citizens of Pennsylvania, reside in Allegheny County. The minor was born April 13, 1926, in Armstrong County, and resided there with his mother, grandmother and step-grandfather at the time of the adoption proceedings.
