This is an appeal from convictions after a jury trial of one count of first-degree cruelty to children 1 (against victim Y.B.), 2 four counts of second-degree cruelty to children 3 (against victims M.M., T.S.M., V.B., and L.B.), and two counts of simple assault 4 (against victims T.S.M. and C.B.), the lesser included offense of the aggravated assault 5 charges in the indictment.
