This is an action for damages for wrongful death and for pain and suffering,- due to the alleged negligence of defendant City of New York (City) and 49 other defendants. Plaintiff is the executor of the estate of his son. Plaintiffs son died after a car accident on the Harlem River Drive at about 127th Street on December 27, 1984 at approximately 10:30 p.m. About 30 vehicles were involved in a series of collisions on that snowy day.
