This is a suit to enforce the lien of special tax bills issued by the city of Independence, Missouri, in payment of the cost of constructing a joint district sewer. The action was originally brought to the use of W.S. Flournoy, now deceased, and has been revived to the use of his personal representative. The case was tried before the court without a jury, judgment was rendered foreclosing the lien of the tax bills, and the defendants have appealed. The defendants are the owners as tenants by the entirety of lots 18, 19, 20, 21 and 24 in Edgewood Park, an addition to the city of Independence.…
