*741The defendant was charged with three counts of murder in the second degree and one count of burglary in the second degree, as the result of an incident in which a male suspect unlawfully entered a grocery store and killed the female clerk. The entire incident was videotaped by a surveillance camera in the store, and a photograph depicting the image of the perpetrator was displayed on the local television channels and in the local newspaper.
