This is an application for a writ of mandamus to compel the respondent to perform the order of the board of trails - portation.
It appears from the record that in October, 1889, John W. Hollenbeck, Cyrelius Lemasters, John W. Miller, John Hayes, Charles Hall, and others, under the name of *552the Elmwood Farmers’ Alliance No. 365, of Cass county? presented their petition to the board of transportation, in •which they allege:
