In the summer of 2012, plaintiffs Neuro-Grafix, Neurography Institute Medical Associates, Inc. (NIMA), and Image-Based Surgicenter Corporation (IBSC), launched a fusillade of lawsuits against MRI equipment manufacturers and university and hospital end-users, accusing them of infringing U.S. Patent No. 5,560,360, “Image Neurography and Diffusion Anisotropy Imaging” (’360 patent).
