Johnson instituted an action against Harrison to recover for personal injuries and damages to his automobile which he claimed were occasioned by reason of a collision at intersecting State highways. He attributed his injuries and the damage to his automobile to the negligence of Harrison and particularized his damages, claiming $10,000.00 for his personal injuries and $1,500.00 for *806tlie' destruction- -of his automobile.
