This consolidated appeal presents four issues before this court. Both appellants, Thomas and James Nguyen, argue that (1) the district court erred in issuing a deliberate ignorance instruction; (2) the district court erred in failing to instruct the jury as to the legal duties of title company closing agents and the legal definition of closing transactions; and (3) there is insufficient evidence to establish the element of specific intent for their convictions.
