Defendant appeals the trial court’s grant of interest from the date of the original judgment and verdict in plaintiff’s favor.

The trial of plaintiff’s three count petition resulted in directed verdicts as to Counts II and III and submission of Count I to the jury. On September 6,1978, the trial court entered judgment on the jury verdict in plaintiff’s favor and against defendant on Count I for $15,000 actual damages and $100,000 punitive damages for violation of the service letter statute, Section 290.140, RSMo 1978.
