ROTH, P. J.

Pursuant to the direction of the California Supreme Court, we issued an alternative writ in this matter to consider whether the superior court erred in denying defendant’s motion to dismiss which claimed that defendant’s right to a speedy trial had been violated. After thoroughly reviewing the record, we conclude that the trial court properly denied the motion. Therefore, we deny defendant’s request for relief.
