RYAN, Circuit Judge.

The defendant, Benny Cowart, appeals from the judgment and sentence imposed following his jury conviction on one count of conspiring to distribute marijuana, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846, and one count of possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1). On appeal, Cowart contends that the district court plainly erred in admitting evidence, under Fed.R.Evid. 404(b), that he was arrested for possession of marijuana after the events at issue here, and that the district court erred in sentencing him as a career offender.
