This case has had a history of protracted litigation stemming from an admitted accident to claimant, Vincent Crimi, on September 24, 1951. The parties entered into an open compensation agreement, which provides that “claimant was picking up a bundle of coats to put on a table, felt a pain in his back. He suffered acute low back sprain, acute sprain right shoulder.”

On December 20, 1951, claimant executed a final receipt, acknowledging compensation payments for a period of one and two-sevenths weeks, ending October 21, 1951. On October 28, 1953, claimant filed a petition to set aside…
