Appeal from *888an order of the Family Court of Albany County (Maney, J.), entered August 6, 1996, which granted petitioner’s application, in a proceeding pursuant to Family Court Act article 4, to direct respondent to pay for support of his child.

Petitioner and respondent are the parents of a child born in 1995. In June 1995, a temporary order directing respondent to pay $25 per week in child support was entered.
