The plaintiff, Guy S. Simpkins, brought a defamation action against the defendants, the Town of Bartlett (town) and Robert M. Snow, Jr., the police chief for the town at the time in question. A jury verdict was entered in favor of the defendants. The plaintiff appeals, arguing that the Superior Court (Mohl, J.) erred by excluding the testimony of a witness regarding the statements allegedly made by Chief Snow, and that the court erred in admitting evidence that had been seized pursuant to an invalid search warrant.
