The bill in this case was filed by the Baltimore Trust & Guarantee Company against the mayor and city council of Baltimore. The plaintiff is a corporation organized under the laws of the state of Maryland, and defendant is the public municipal corporation, of Baltimore city in that state. On the first day of September, 1892, the Lake Roland Elevated Railway Company executed a certain indenture, in which the plaintiff is trustee, for the purpose of securing the payment of the principal and interest of 1,000 first mortgage coupon bonds, of the denomination of $1,000 each,…
