Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Quinones, J.), rendered March 27, 1989, convicting him of robbery in the first degree and grand larceny in the fourth degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

On July 22, 1988, at approximately 10:00 A.M., the complainant was robbed of her jewelry at gunpoint as she waited for a train on the nearly deserted, elevated platform of her local subway station.
