On the night of August 22, 1963, Anthony Badame, age 16, was driving his father’s motor vehicle upon a rural country road. He was accompanied by Philip Delany, a minor, and Samuel Gray. The road was level, and the surface was treated gravel. The weather was clear, and there were no obstructions to vision.
