WELCH, Judge.

Corey Demekus Bryant appeals the circuit court’s summary denial of his Rule 32, Ala. R.Crim. P., petition for postconviction relief and reinstatement of his original 60-year sentence.

The record reflects that Bryant pleaded guilty to murder on December 12, 1990; he was sentenced to 60 years’ imprisonment on February 1, 1991. On February 5, 1991, Bryant filed a timely motion for sentence reduction. After several continuances, the trial court conducted a hearing on the motion on May 16,1991, after which it entered an order reducing Bryant’s sentence to 40 years’ imprisonment. 1…
