SHEPARD, Chief Justice.

The question presented is whether a county sheriffs merit board may conduct an executive session to discuss the evidence presented during its public hearing on disciplinary charges against a deputy and then proceed to take final action in public. We hold it may.

This question comes to us as the second part of one lawsuit. In the first part, the Johnson Circuit Court ordered the Marion County Sheriffs Merit Board to conduct its disciplinary hearings in public and permit the use of cameras and recorders at those hearings.
