Jonathan Peter Parsons appeals his conviction for attempt to purchase a firearm as a convicted felon in violation of Code § 18.2-308.2(A)(ii).1 Parsons contends the trial court erred in excluding as hearsay his testimony concerning statements made by the juvenile and domestic relations district court judge who sentenced him in 1994 and that the exclusion of this evidence prejudiced his defense in violation of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
