MERCK, Senior Judge:*

A military judge sitting as a general court-martial convicted appellant, in accordance with his pleas, of assault with a dangerous weapon (two specifications)1 and obstruction of justice in violation of Articles 128 and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 928 and 934 [hereinafter UCMJ]. The military judge sentenced appellant to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement for twenty months, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and reduction to Private El.
