This is a suit by appellant against appellee for damages alleged to have been caused by personal injuries inflicted by the negligence of the latter while she was a passenger on one of its cars -when she was in the act of alighting therefrom. The gravamen of the complaint is that after the car has been stopped to let her get off but before she had time, the motorman suddenly and without warning started the car, which was jerked with great force and violence so that she was thrown forcibly therefrom and fell prostrate upon the ground, and was thereby seriously injured.
