This action was instituted by the appellant, First National Bank of Southern Maryland (the Bank), against the appellee, United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company (U.S.F. & G.), upon a banker’s blanket bond, for the recovery of $43,761.39, representing losses ($28,587.02) and attorneys’ fees and costs ($15,174.37) all allegedly incurred as a result of the acts of *402the third-party appellee, G.
