SULLIVAN, Chief Judge:

In May, June, and July 1987, appellant was tried by a general court-martial composed of officer and enlisted members at Heidelberg, Federal Republic of Germany. Contrary to his pleas, he was convicted of wrongful distribution of hashish, wrongful possession of heroin with intent to distribute, wrongful possession and distribution of heroin (two specifications), wrongful use of heroin, and wrongful distribution of heroin, in violation of Article 112a, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 912a.
