KAYATTA, Circuit Judge.

Oscar Delgado-Sánchez (“Delgado”) pled guilty to one count of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). Delgado now appeals his upwardly variant sentence of seventy-two months in prison. He contends that his guidelines sentencing range was miscalculated because the district court erroneously found at least one of his prior convictions to be for a “crime of violence.” He also takes issue with what he claims were procedural missteps at sentencing, and he argues that the district court based his above-guidelines sentence on…
