I do not feel myself at liberty to grant a preliminary injunction in this case. There are important principles of law, as well as important facts, involved in the issue. The object of a preliminary injunction is to prevent some threatening, irreparable mischief, which should be averted until opportunity is afforded for a full and deliberate investigation of the case. The defendants have purchased the farm, and removed the paupers, and have nearly completed an expensive building on the premises.
