Thomas L. Sumner filed suit against Alton Thomas, R. R. Dukes, doing business as Dukes Bus Lines, and American Casualty Company of Reading, Pennsylvania, to recover damages for an injury he sustained when his car collided with a bus driven by Alton Thomas for R. R. Dukes. When the evidence closed, the court, on motion of the defendant, directed a verdict against the plaintiff.
