Appeal from an order of the Supreme Court at Special Term (Williams, J.), entered April 27,1983 in Albany County, which granted defendant’s motion for summary judgment dismissing plaintiff’s sixth cause of action for punitive damages. 11 Plaintiff held five disability benefits insurance policies issued by defendant between 1949 and 1964. The policies provided lifelong benefits in the event of disability caused by accident.
