Bar counsel filed a three-count petition for discipline against the respondent, John C. McBride, on November 24, 1999. The Board of Bar Overseers (board) held hearings between December, 2000, and April, 2002. The hearing committee’s report, submitted on December 11, 2003, found multiple violations of the rules of professional conduct and recommended a three-year suspension. Both bar counsel and McBride appealed to the board. The board unanimously adopted bar counsel’s recommended sanction of disbarment, and filed an information to that effect in the county court.
