This proceeding challenges the validity of a consolidation or merger of fraternal beneficiary associations, to wit: The Croatian League of Illinois, the National Croatian Society, chartered under the laws of Pennsylvania, and the St. Joseph National Croatian Beneficiary Association, organized under the laws of Kansas. A contract of merger was made by the members constituting the supreme legislative body of the society which was presented to the superintendent of insurance for approval.
