¶ 1. A jury sitting before the Rankin County 'Circuit Court found Phillip Young guilty of felony evasion and burglary of an automobile. The circuit court found that Young qualified for enhanced sentencing as a habitual offender pursuant to Mississippi Code Annotated section 99-19-83 (Rev.2008) and sentenced Young to life in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) without eligibility for parole or probation.
