JOYCE BIHARY, Bankruptcy Judge.

This adversary proceeding is before the Court on defendant’s motions for summary judgment. (Docket Nos. 13 and 19). Defendant argues that he is entitled to a judgment as a matter of law on plaintiffs complaint objecting to the debtor’s discharge under 11 U.S.C. § 727(a) and to the dischargeability of a claim for fraud under 11 U.S.C. § 523(a)(2). This is a core proceeding under 28 U.S.C. § 157(b)(2)(I)-(J) (2006).
