A jury convicted appellant, Sergio Vela Barrera, of murder. The trial court sentenced him to 99 years’ imprisonment, imposed a $10,000 fíne, and assessed restitution at $12,000. In four issues, appellant asserts that (1) the evidence supporting his conviction is legally and factually insufficient, (2) the trial court committed reversible error when it ordered restitution, (3) prosecutorial misconduct occurred when the prosecutor testified to facts that were not before the jury, and (4) he received ineffective assistance of counsel.
