In August, 1919, proceedings were had for the condemnation of a strip of ground 25 feet wide and 427 feet long, lying on the south side of a 6-acre tract owned by the appellee, for the purpose of opening Washington Street, in the city of Des Moines, from East Thirty-third Street to East Twenty-ninth…
