This is an action for injunctive relief and compensatory and punitive damages brought by José A. Reyes Cañada and others (“plaintiffs”) against César Rey Hernaádez (“Rey”), Lizzette Pillich Otero (“Pillich”) and Carmen Motta Montañez (“Motta”) in their individual and official capacity as executives of the Puerto Rico Department of Education. The plaintiffs claim that Rey, Pillich, and Motta took adverse employment actions against them because of their political affiliation. Plaintiffs bring this action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983,…
