This appeal arises from the chancellor’s refusal to modify the parties’ agreement concerning child support payments. The parties were divorced on December 26, 1976, and a property settlement agreement was approved by the court at that time. The decree stated that “this agreement is a contract independent of any Decree of separation or divorce . . . and shall not be subject to modification by any Court.” The agreement provided that the appellant was to have custody of the three minor children, that the appellant was to have possession of the marital home until the…
