The mortgage in suit bears date November 10, 1919. It was drawn to cover the west 40 feet of a certain Lot 10, of a certain addition to Cedar Rapids. The length of such Lot 10 was 140 feet. The defendant Mrs. Kline claims to have become the purchaser, on October 11, 1919, of the south 100 feet of the mortgaged property, and claims that she entered into actual possession of her property on or about said date, and was, and has been, in possession thereof ever since, without any notice of plaintiff’s mortgage until about four years after the date of her purchase.
