OPINION OF THE COURT

FOREMAN, Senior Judge:

Before a general court-martial composed of officer and enlisted members, the appellant was charged with two specifications of indecent acts with his two-year-old stepson and one specification of indecent acts with the seven-year-old daughter of a German family who had befriended him, all three occasions alleged to have been “with the intent to arouse, appeal to, and gratify the lust and sexual desires” of the appellant, in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 934 (1982).
