Claimant appeals from a determination by the Workers’ Compensation Board (Board) that his psychiatric disability is not compensable. This case is the first to reach us of a series decided after James v. SAIF, 290 Or 343, 624 P2d 565 (1981), in which the Board has attempted to adapt an exception to compensability for physical injuries, where there has been a deviation from work duties, to cases involving adverse psychological reaction to supervision.
