This action is before this Court upon an appeal from the final order of the Circuit Court of Boone County, West Virginia, entered on December 9, 1994. The appellant, Chrystal F. Pleasant, was discharged from her employment with the appellee, Elk Run Coal Company, Inc., for absenteeism. The appellant contends, however, that she worked for the appellee under a promise of job security and was discharged without cause.
