MEMORANDUM

MERHIGE, District Judge.

Plaintiff, Ruth Taliaferro, brings these actions under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 to redress alleged sex discrimination practiced at Longwood College, a Commonwealth of Virginia institution of higher learning, and to challenge the constitutionality of her “forced” retirement from that institution. The sex discrimination charge is pursued in the form of a class action 1 while the retirement issue, which is not gender related, is presented solely as an individual action.
