This is an appeal from a finding and judgment of conviction for the crime of Armed Robbery after a bench trial, with sentence in the Illinois State Penitentiary for a period of (1) one to (3) three years.

Defendant, James Lawrence, was indicted for the armed robbery of one Herman Beane, a cabdriver, and brought to trial. Evidence produced from the testimony of the State’s witness, the victim of the crime, was to the effect that on July 25,1964, at approximately 2:30 a. m. he was robbed of a certain amount of cash by defendant, who was armed with a sawed-off shotgun.
