Plaintiff Mary Ledbetter, widow of the deceased Dali Ledbetter, appeals by leave from a decision of the Workmen’s Compensation Appeal Board which denied her dependency benefits arising from the death of her husband.

Since the issue raised in this appeal is one of first impression in Michigan, a short summary of relevant facts is necessary. The decedent returned to work at defendant company on May 15, 1972, following a three-month leave resulting from a broken leg.
