This cause involves the applicable salary basis for the county judge of Quitman County. By chapter 131, Laws 1926, county courts were established in all counties, meeting’ fixed requirements as to assessment valuations and population. Smaller counties were authorized to establish such courts after election expressing the will of the citizens to this end. Such court was so established by the peoplé of Quitman County which falls within a classification whereby the salary of the county judge was fixed at $2,000.
