When Hilts, and those associated with him, entered the room occupied by. Arnold, and,, as disclosed by this record, forcibly ejected the latter therefrom, ■ and took possession thereof, and of the books and other paraphernalia used by him in performing the duties pertaining to. the office of assessor, they were clearly in the wrong, and there is no theory under which their acts' in that respect can be justified .or excused.
